SIFT-MS Ionization
Course Details
Premier
An introduction to the ionization processes that occur in selected ion flow tube mass spectrometry (SIFT-MS) instruments. In SIFT-MS, soft chemical ionization is achieved using gas-phase ion-molecule reactions. Multiple reaction mechanisms from up to eight sustainably generated reagent ions provide broad-spectrum and specific analysis when coupled with MS detection.
Topics include:
- Positively charged reagent ions
- Negatively charged reagent ions
- Functional group trends
- Other important considerations
- High specificity in real time
