SIFT-MS Quantitation

Course Details Premier

Several approaches to SIFT-MS quantitation are discussed, including an overview of the first-principles approach that underpins stability of the technique and ability to quantify volatiles from library parameters. Calibration approaches analogous with those used in conventional chromatographic analysis are described, together with alternative strategies for continuous monitoring. Evaluation of analytical sensitivity, and limits of detection and quantitation is also introduced.

Topics include:

  • The first-principles approach
  • Quantitation in routine analysis
  • Calibration of other SIFT-MS approaches
  • Sensitivity, limit of detection, and limit of quantitation
